#30 – 3D modeling in Blender

This Sunday, November 6th @ 15:00 a OpenToko.org workshop will take place about modeling your own 3D objects in Blender. An Ultimaker 3D printer is available for printing your freshly designed objects.

Blender is a free and open-source 3D computer graphics software product used for creating animated films, visual effects, interactive 3D applications or video games. Blender’s features include 3D modeling, UV unwrapping, texturing, rigging and skinning, fluid and smoke simulation, particle simulation, animating, rendering, video editing and compositing. The focus for this introduction workshop will be only on modeling and exporting 3D objects for 3D printing. The workshop will be taught by Diana Wildschut, member of artist collective De Spullenmannen and active as freelance technician, lighting designer, photographer, video artist and programmer of realtime video software.

This OpenToko workshop is “hands-on”. If you want to join this OpenToko please bring your own laptop running Mac OSX, Windows or Linux. At the end of the day all participants will give a short demonstration about their results.

The cost for the workshop is up to you. You can choose how much the knowledge is worth to you. There will be a honesty box for your cash donations. You can also ask for a bill if you don’t want to pay cash. There is a limit of 20 participants for the workshop so please register here.
